Carnforth - Maryport via Barrow-in-Furness - A North West Regional Railways Express whisks us from Carnforth to Barrow-in-Furness via Grange over Sands.

The limited stop service is formed by a class 156 Sprinter.

We then transfer to a class 153 / Pacer 3-car combination for the section from Barrow to Park South.

We rejoin the train in perfect weather near the small village of Bootle for the most scenic part of this semaphore-signalled route.
