Canadian Thunder

Edmonton, Alberta plays host to Walker Yard, a massive facility operated by the Canadian National Railway that stretches the entire width of thecity - an amazing 6 kilometres from end to end.

The facility is typical of a North American rail yard: loco repair shops, a hump yard, control tower, and with over 70 mainline trains either departing, arriving or passing through here a day, there’s enough traffic to keep it busy 24/7.

In this production, we spend time at both ends of the yard to capture the constant flow of trains flooding through: from unit phosphate to double stack intermodal trains – they’re all here.

Run-by shots of full length trains are included. Limited narration - the trains do most of the talking.
