Canada’s Mountain Main Lines

The Canadian Pacific Railway tackles the Rocky Mountains head on, striking a path through the daunting Rogers Pass, preferring to go up and over rather than follow the Columbia River.

Further north, the Canadian National Railway can take things a little easier through the Yellowhead Pass, running adjacent to the Miette and Fraser Rivers.

Both railroads are surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery on offer; snow capped rugged peaks skirted by a seemingly impenetrable layer of cedars and pines.

This one hour program provides a sample of the CP and CN in action, where the focus is on capturing the landscape, as well as the all important trains. Locations visited include Hope, Revelstoke, Field, Golden, Jasper, Lake Louise and much more.
