American trains are big - very big, and EJ Videos is pleased to have headed off shore to the USA to bring you this video featuring close up, in your face, big time American railroad action.

Railroads featured are the Union Pacific, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe and the passenger carrier Amtrak.

Kansas City Missouri, Benson Arizona and the Californian cities of San Diego and Fullerton put on a plethora of train action, from high speed freights to sleek Superliners.

High horsepower means big trains - and a combined rating of over 8000 horsepower on the front results in some big tonnage being hauled - with most trains having well in excess of 100 freight cars.

USA Rails 2 - America's Mightiest.

Witness the might of America’s rail power in the form of CSX Transportation, the Union Pacific Railroad and the national passenger carrier Amtrak.

We kick off in the city of Alexandria Virginia, where there’s action a plenty from CSX, Amtrak and the Virginia Railway Express. The Amtrak station here is a popular haunt for railfans and no wonder -18 trains in six hours with the busiest day being a Sunday ideally suits the most avid of train watchers.

From here we head a few miles north into Washington DC to catch some more rail action from CSX and Amtrak. We then take a big jump westward to the small town of Benson in southern Arizona where endless blue skies, awe inspiring scenery and the air horn blast of high speed freights are an everyday occurrence. The Union Pacific Railroad knows how to turn on a good show when the speed limit through town is 60 mph!

USA Rails 3 - Missouri Revisited.

Hot off the heels of USA 1 & 2, EJ Videos is pleased to bring even more trackside rail action from the state of Missouri, USA.

During November of 2003, a day was spent in Kansas City Missouri, and four days in Saint Joseph Missouri, about 50 miles north of ‘KC’.

In this third instalment, we concentrate in North Kansas City just north of the Missouri River where the Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern cross paths and other lines share trackage rights.

We then take in the hotspots all along the city limits of the City of Saint Joseph where the BNSF main line is shared with the Union Pacific Railroad.

Coal trains are clearly predominant through here, where they constantly use the huge 8 mile passing loop to meet and overtake. SD70MAC fans are well catered for.
