BNSF's Monett & Cherokee Subs - Soon after the Merger

The Frisco made it to Monett, Missouri first and almost 100 years was the largest employer in town. BN bought the Frisco then the 1995 merger, officially completed on December 31st 1996, saw BNSF take over and it didn't take many years before they sold off most of the sub. The Monett Sub is no more. Tour the Monett Sub in 1999 prior to the sale of the line. We also get a heaping helping of the former ATSF Cherokee Sub. These 2 end to end subs truly show off the Burlington Northern  & Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe merger. You will see mainly BN green and Santa Fe Warbonnets.
