The Heritage Steam Collection

Ever since the first steam railway in Australia opened between Melbourne and Sandridge in 1854, a huge variety of different classes operate across the country on 3 notable track gauges. Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland and Tasmania used 3 foot 6 or narrow gauge. New South Wales had standard gauge or 4 foot 8 and a half inches, and Victoria and South Australia shared the Irish Broad Gauge of 5 foot 3 inches. In this production we take a detailed look at a number of preserved steam locomotives from South Australia, Victoria, Tasmani..
