Amsterdam's Colourful Trains
We start our look at the trains of Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, at Central Station, where we see electric locomotive haul trains and emu's and a few freights. We take a brief look at Amsterdam's extensive tram network, then head for a public park to watch trains at work. Next, we're off to a couple of locations in Dordrecht for freight from the Port of Rotterdam to Germany and Belgium, both electric and diesel, the Lage Zwaluwe for more freight and passenger trains, including the Tahlys high speed train to Paris, and Belgian freight and passenger trains. London’s Colourful Trains
Since Britain’s railways privatised there are now lots of colorful paint schemes. We checked out London’s main line stations to see what was new, including Eurostar, the Channel Tunnel train, and spent a day at Clapham Junction, Britain’s busiest railway station, with loads of non stop action, including a steam excursion. Lots of different companies, incluing Gatwick Express, First Great Eastern, Connex, First Great Western, Great North Eastern, Midland Trains, Silverlink, Freightliner, Virgin Trains and lots more. Sydney's Colourful Trains
The trains of Sydney, Australia. We first take a look at Enfield Yard and the locomotive facility. Next is a visit to the Botany Goods Line, followed by an interlude at Sandown, where Freight Australia units take a tank train out, we get a brief ride on a T class switcher, and a pair of ancient Alco's, one a PA look alike, start up and drag their intermodal away. Sydney has a high density suburban service, and we also take a look at the light rail and the monorail. Next it's off to Cowan for a freight and a work train, and finally we visit the Hunter Valley for high density coal train drags with Class 90's and elderly dmu's. We also see the Indian Pacific and XPT passenger trains. Lots of action and color. (105 MIN)
Tokoyo's Colourful Trains
An incredible volume of trains, variety and colors. See the trains in Tokyo, Shinagwa, Shinjuku, Yono, Kawasaki and Ueno. Enjoy the Shinkansen, the bullet trains in a variety of futuristic styles and color schemes. A wild variety of emu's and electric freight locomotives is also on show. (105 MIN)
Zurich's Colourful Trains
Spend Sunday afternoon on the main station in Zurich, Switzerland, with 64 trains in one hour, including French and Italian. Then we head down to the Gotthard Line for a look at both passenger and freight trains. Amazing action, and they run to time! (120 MIN)
