Train
Pictures Acquires Series 567 Rail Video
Train
Pictures is proud to announce the acquisition of Series 567 Rail
Video.
Series 567 Rail Video is a DVD distribution and mail order company
based in Victoria. It was founded in 1990, securing an exclusive
license to distribute titles produced by UK Company Steam Powered
Video in Australia.
Series 567 specialize in DVD titles on transportation, focusing
on railways in the USA and UK, with a in-stock catalog of over 1000
rail related titles. The company holds the sole Australian distribution
rights for DVD titles from the UK producer VIDEO 125, and access
to other foreign rail video producers including Globe Video Films,
Cinerail / Marsden Rail, and The Signalbox in the UK, and Pentrex,
Greg Scholl Video Productions, Big E, 'A' Trains and Allen Keller
in the US. The comprehensive range of titles covers steam, diesel,
interurbans, electrics, cab rides, modeling and live steam. The
distribution rights held by Series 567 have been transferred to
Train Pictures as part of the acquisition.
The operations of Series 567 will relocate to the Queensland offices
of Train Pictures in December 2008 with stock available for shipping
in late January 2009. Customers will be able to order all Series
567 DVDs through Train Pictures however there may be some delays
with Series 567 stock ordered between now and February 2009. This
is a very exciting time with the combined range of in-stock rail
DVD titles now over 2000. This combined with access to a further
2000+ titles, gives Train Pictures the largest rail focused special
interest DVD catalogue in Australia. Train Pictures looks forward
to further expansion of this in-stock range during 2009.
